I've only been around for a few days, and already I've been made to feel so welcome. Thank you :) — Anonymous

The Sherlock fandom is the reason I got on tumblr to begin with, and it's only gotten better from there. I have made so many friends and it makes me feel like I'm actually part of something good. And there's something for everybody. Between the shipping (or just bromance!), the crack, the completely serious and intelligent analyses of the show, this fandom is really something special. moriartyistheworstkidsshowhost

Like the idea, think it's a little odd to be collecting money and have the counter in dollars when it's an British show and charity? — Anonymous

I suppose that it might be a bit odd, but ChipIn, the website that we’re using for managing it, uses USD as its standard unit.

I would like to thank the Sherlockians and their support; I am so happy that Sherlock BBC has such amazing fans.Everyone in the Sherlock fandom, whether they've known the show from the beginning or just started now, is amazing, fantastic, wonderful and all the spectacular adjectives to go with them. This fandom made my love for Sherlock grow more and more. It's wild and phenomenon..We are fandom that waited and thankfully the wait is almost done! detectivestuff

I got into this fandom about three weeks ago, and have found it to be the most amazing inspiration for utterly cracked fanart since. I'm having so much fun with this. I really want to keep drawing for you all, I have so much fun doing it! Just wanted to say, I LOVE YOU ALL! (And, possibly, check out my art blog? Tell me what sort of crack you want me to draw next?) hoggleinthetardis

Tbh I don't understand a lot of the inside jokes but I still laugh. I'm a Sherlock freak and I wish I was more immersed in the fandom but there's always time for that. Thanks for the creativity and laughs! crumblr

You lovely, lovely people -- You all are some of the most articulate, fabulous people I don't actually know. I feel like such a part of this wild fold, with its shrewd analyses of stories and all the ridiculously talented artists. You're witty, insightful, respectful, hilarious, and so welcoming. Thank you for being in my life, though my presence is of the silent type :) sailsflyseaward

Sherlockians: this fandom defies definition. We can go from sheer crack to utter seriousness in a heartbeat. We can look at a single picture and write a paragraph-long analysis. We can take a joke and run with it until it's a fandom-wide phenomenon. Every day there's something new to laugh at, cry at, marvel over... it's been fantastic, and it'll only get better. Because look at all the things we've done with three episodes. Can you imagine what will happen once we have six? langlocked

Dear Sherlock fandom: You are brilliant! Even if that isn't what people usually say. I love you all dearly for keeping me up until 4 in the morning over a few hours of show, for making me drool whenever Benedict Cumberbatch shows up on screen, for sqeeing in fangirl glee over the navy blue scarf I saw in the store and the jam my mom likes. Thank you all. what-we-should-have-been

What do I do if I want to leave an extra long message? On anon, though. Is there a place to submit? — Anonymous

There are a few options:

  1. Submit using your e-mail address while you’re logged out of Tumblr (but really, who ever logs out of Tumblr)?
  2. Leave the message in multiple asks and rely on our admins to screenshot all parts and put them in with the original message (disadvantageous because of ask limits, and because it can take more time for these to be published).

Good luck! We welcome longer messages!
